Yes, absolutely. Some parents find that they enjoy pregnancy and parenting through babyhood but difficulties come up later in parenthood. Toddlerhood and beyond can start to trigger different things for different people. For some people it might be that toddler tantrums feel triggering and it becomes hard to manage these feelings and parent in the way you might like. For others reaching the age where something significant happened in childhood, such as childhood abuse, can bring difficult feelings and trauma to the surface. Feel free to get in touch to discuss your needs and how we can work together.

Yes, absolutely! I understand that it is not always possible or convenient to arrange childcare or that you may simply not want to leave your baby with someone else. I’m always happy for you to bring your baby along to our sessions. You can feed, change and tend to your baby as needed throughout the sessions and we will work around this.

This will depend on partly on the difficulties you are experiencing and what you want to get out of therapy. Typically I would work with people for between 12 and 20 sessions. However, sometimes for some people longer term work may be beneficial and this may be somewhere up to a year. Of course, you are always in control of your goals and what you would like to get out of therapy and this is reviewed regularly (every 4-6 sessions). How many sessions you may need is discussed early on in therapy. I will also be able to give you an indication of this during an initial consultation. if you’re ready, please feel free to book a free consultation and we can discuss this.
For couples therapy I ususally work with people for around 16 - 20 sessions. But this could be a little shorter or a little longer depending on your needs and what you feel you can commit to at the moment. -

Yes! I can offer online sessions from the comfort of your own home, wherever you are. The only exception to this is that I am not insured to work with clients in the USA or Canada.

Some parents worry that if they ask for help for their difficulties people might have concerns about their ability to parent. Understandably this feels frightening but this very rarely happens. Asking for help is a sign that you want to improve things for you and for your baby and research shows us that keeping babies with their families is almost always what is best for the baby and the family.

Therapy costs £100 per session and usually a course of therapy is around 12-15 sessions. Sometimes this can be shorter for specific difficulties such as phobias or in line with your personal goals. Couples therapy is usually around 16-20 sessions.
If you feel that you may need longer term support this can be discussed and this would usually be for up to around a year where needed. How many sessions you’re likely to need can be discussed in an initial consultation.
